Govind told news agency ANI that the connection between Raj Kushwaha, Vishal, and others was made through Sonam. He firmly said, “This confirms her involvement. If I had known the truth earlier, I would never have allowed this marriage to happen.” He also added that he is ready to stand against his sister and fight for justice.

According to Govind, Raj Kushwaha once worked in his company, handling storage and product dispatch. He also mentioned that Jitendra Raghuvanshi, another relative, had no role in the murder. “Both families were happy about the marriage. Raja and Sonam even went shopping together. I liked Raja a lot. He was a good person,” Govind added.

Meanwhile, East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem revealed key details about the murder. He said Raj Kushwaha was the mastermind, and Sonam supported the plan. The three accused, including one of Raj’s cousins, were friends. This was not a contract killing, but something they did as a favour to their friend.

Police investigations show that the plan was in motion since February, when Sonam and Raja were still in Indore. After their marriage, the couple visited Kamakhya Devi Temple. Around the same time, the other accused arrived in the area. The plan was to kill Raja in Guwahati, and Sonam played a part by deciding to visit Shillong.

All five main accused, including Sonam, are now in police custody for eight days. The investigation is still ongoing, as the police dig deeper into the case to uncover the full truth.

The case continues to unfold, leaving many shocked by the betrayal and tragic end of Raja Raghuvanshi.
