Kamal Kaur Bhabhi Murder: In a shocking turn of events, Bathinda police have arrested two men from the Nihang community for the brutal murder of social media influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, whose real name was Kanchan Kumari. The arrest comes nearly 36 hours after her lifeless body was discovered inside her parked car near Adesh University in Bhucho Kalan, along the Bathinda-Chandigarh highway.
Kanchan had left her home in Ludhiana on Monday, telling her family she was going to Bathinda to attend a promotional event. When she didn’t return and couldn’t be contacted, her family grew concerned. It wasn’t until Wednesday night that locals alerted police after noticing a strong foul smell coming from a car parked outside the university. Inside, officers found Kanchan’s body on the back seat, in a severely mutilated condition.
Police have since confirmed that the murder mystery has been solved with the arrest of two suspects, both of whom are said to be Nihangs. These arrests mark a major breakthrough in a case that stunned the influencer community and raised serious questions about the safety of content creators.
Kanchan, known to her followers as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, was a rising star on social media. She had more than 2.36 lakh followers on YouTube, 3.84 lakh on Instagram, and 1.74 lakh on Facebook. However, with popularity came trouble. She had reportedly received multiple threats in the past, including from Canada-based terrorist Arsh Dalla, who had allegedly warned her to stop sharing what he called “inappropriate content.”
The pressure and threats had taken a toll, but Kanchan continued creating content, believing in her right to free expression. Sadly, her life was cut short in a gruesome manner that has left her family and fans devastated.
Due to the condition of the body, her family decided to perform the last rites in Bathinda itself, rather than transporting her back to Ludhiana.
This tragic case has not only highlighted the dark side of social media fame but also raised concerns over the growing threats faced by influencers. The investigation is still ongoing, and police are trying to uncover the motive behind this cold-blooded murder. Authorities have promised strict action against those responsible.
