Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her long-awaited return to Indian cinema. She will be teaming up with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu for SS Rajamouli’s next magnum opus. The film, described as a Pan-World African Jungle Adventure, promises to be a cinematic spectacle, with production slated to begin in April 2025.

Sources within Pinkvilla reveal that it is Priyanka Chopra’s comeback project into Indian cinema after nearly six years. She revealed with much enthusiasm her intention of working with visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli.
The untitled film is based on Lord Hanuman. The film features Mahesh Babu as a fearless adventurer who goes into African jungles, which no man has ever explored before. Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the female lead, with an action-packed and emotionally intense role.
The filmmaker met Priyanka on numerous occasions in the past six months and all energies have aligned wonderfully for this ambitious project, for which Priyanka would be stepping into unknown territories, ready to grasp the character that requires rigorous action and also share space with Mahesh Babu,” said an insider.
A Global Cinematic Experience
SS Rajamouli, who has created global blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, is leaving no stone unturned to make this film a game-changer. The production will be spread over three years, and it will wrap up by the end of 2026, with a planned worldwide release in 2027.
To make the movie more global-friendly, Rajamouli is said to be in discussion with studios like Disney and Sony to form strategic collaborations. Shoot locations will range from modern studios in India and the United States to the breath-taking location shooting in the African forests for a great visual treat to the eyes of the audiences.
