Smokes Weed Inside Train: A recent incident inside a crammed train has ignited much talk across social media, with a video featuring the Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer scolding a passenger smoking marijuana in a coach inside it. A highly dramatic video caught the eye on X, or what is called Twitter these days, which went viral for an extremely heated altercation afterwards.
It started showing an RPF officer inside the packed train coach, addressing an incident where there is said to be a passenger smoking marijuana. An off-camera voice said he had been advised several times to stop by his fellow commuters in the train and still refused.
The officer was heard saying, “Everyone told him to stop, but he didn’t listen.” He grabbed the passenger by his hair, pulling his head back, in an attempt to assert authority. This confrontation has brought out a myriad of reactions on social media. Many users have praised the actions of the officer, citing the passenger’s disruptive behavior.
One user commented, “I generally do not favor police brutality, but if what is happening in that video is actually the case, then that guy deserved to be publicly humiliated and put in jail. But I still don’t think he will reform and will just do it again.” Another commented, “Well done the policeman for dealing with that person.”
Others also condemned the way the policeman handled that case, pointing out that such physical force is uncalled for.
A user said, “Why is the policeman acting like a strict relative?”
Another user said, “There should be special training for Indian police, IAS officers, government officials, and municipalities.”
Even though the identity of the passenger is still unknown, smoking inside the train is a gross violation of railway rules as well as public safety standards. If found guilty, he would be charged under the Railway Act and other relevant acts.
The incident has ignited debates on the conduct of law enforcement officers and the need to train them on such eventualities. It also underscores the persistence in ensuring passenger discipline and maintaining order within public transportation systems.
In addition, as the video continues to gain momentum, it brings to mind the sensitivity with which law enforcers must deal when upholding regulations yet respecting certain individual rights.
