Neighboring Thailand also felt the brunt of the quake, prompting authorities to declare a state of emergency. In Bangkok, at least nine people have died, with 117 still reported missing. Shocking visuals surfaced of a rooftop pool spilling over a Bangkok skyscraper, illustrating the terrifying force of the tremors.
