KKR vs LSG Clash Rescheduled : The much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 fixture between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), originally set for April 6 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, has been rescheduled to April 8. The change comes in light of the security deployment required for Ram Navami celebrations, as confirmed by an official statement from the IPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) addressed the situation in a press release, stating, “Match No. 19 of the TATA IPL 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), originally scheduled for April 6, will now be played on April 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM at Eden Gardens. This decision follows a request from Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), given the extensive personnel deployment across the city for the festivities.”
How the Schedule is Affected
With this change, April 6 will now be a single-header match day, featuring only the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Gujarat Titans clash at 7:30 PM. Meanwhile, April 8 will turn into a double-header spectacle, with the rescheduled KKR vs. LSG game in the afternoon, followed by Punjab Kings taking on Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh in the evening (Match No. 22).
KKR Vs LSG: A Battle of Comebacks
KKR began their title defence on a shaky note, suffering a loss against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens. However, they quickly regained their footing with a strong comeback against Rajasthan Royals (RR). LSG had a similar start, losing their opener against Delhi Capitals (DC) but bouncing back with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Uppal Stadium.
With both teams eager to maintain their winning momentum, the revised schedule adds another layer of excitement to an already thrilling IPL season. Cricket fans can expect a high-voltage showdown when KKR and LSG finally clash on April 8, setting the stage for more fireworks in the league.
