AAP Manifesto 2025: Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi and the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), unveiled the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Packed with promises aimed at enhancing the welfare of Delhi’s citizens, Kejriwal announced 15 key guarantees under the manifesto, which includes schemes for women, youth, students, and the elderly.
The major highlight of the manifesto is the Mahila Samman Yojana, which promises ₹2,100 monthly financial aid to all women in Delhi if AAP retains power. Kejriwal stressed the need for empowering women through financial assistance, reiterating his party’s commitment to improving their lives.
A third important promise is the Sanjeevani Yojana, which will cater for free medical care to persons above 60 years of age. This scheme will be applicable to both private and government hospitals, giving relief to the elderly population of the city.
Free bus travel for women has always been a part of the promise and will continue so. The AAP government has promised a 50 per cent discount on metro fares for students as well.
Addressing grievances regarding electricity and water bills, Kejriwal announced all the “doubtful” pending electricity bills would be forgiven. Furthermore, tenemental dwelling of residents of Delhi would now be availed free benefits of electricity as well as free water services also.
A Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Yojana was proposed to offer scholarships for full-ride studies for Dalit students in foreign nations. He vowed that strong endeavors would be put forth to deliver employment to all youths in Delhi. He assured cleaning of the Yamuna river and a face-lift of roads to match European quality with better connectivity and aesthetics during his next term.
The manifesto also provides financial aid of ₹18,000 a month to priests working in temples and gurdwaras in Delhi. Kejriwal assured that all the current schemes such as Mohalla Clinics and free bus travel for women will remain the same and will not be stopped. He added that the party has fulfilled its promises made before the previous elections, and it’s time for voters to believe in AAP once again.
With its emphasis on welfare, development, and inclusive growth, AAP’s manifesto has every chance of clicking with a large section of voters in Delhi. All eyes will be on the implementation of these promises if AAP manages to have another term in office as the election campaign gains momentum.
