Telugu anchor and actress Vishnu Priya Bhimineni has approached the Miyapur police alleging online harassment and character assassination through social media platforms. The actress filed a complaint on Friday, claiming that unknown individuals have been targeting her with abusive content, trolling campaigns, and objectionable comments on Instagram and other platforms over the last few days.

According to the complaint, several defamatory posts and insulting remarks were allegedly circulated online with the intention of damaging her public image and reputation. Vishnu Priya stated that the continuous trolling and offensive content caused mental stress and personal discomfort, prompting her to seek legal action against those responsible.

Police officials confirmed that a written complaint had been received from the actress and that preliminary verification of the social media accounts mentioned in the complaint has already begun. Investigators are reportedly examining screenshots, account activities, and digital evidence related to the alleged harassment.

The Miyapur police said action would be taken after reviewing the evidence and identifying the individuals involved in spreading abusive and defamatory content online. Officials also stated that cyber-related complaints involving social media harassment are being treated seriously due to the growing number of such incidents.
