A serious case has emerged from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, where a young woman has accused Umesh Sharma, known locally as the owner of Shiva Dhaba, of rape, blackmail, and harassment. The woman has filed a formal complaint with the police, prompting authorities to begin an investigation into the allegations.

According to the complaint, the woman first came into contact with Umesh Sharma around four years ago through Instagram. What began as online conversations gradually turned into a close relationship. She stated that over time, the two met frequently and traveled to several cities together, where they stayed at hotels and developed physical relations.
The woman alleged that Sharma assured her of marriage during the course of the relationship, which led her to trust him. She claimed that these assurances played a key role in continuing the relationship over the years.
However, the situation reportedly changed when she began insisting on marriage. The woman told police that Sharma started distancing himself and allegedly threatened to make her private photos and videos public if she continued to pressure him. She further claimed that he shared her phone number with his friends, which resulted in repeated unwanted calls and harassment.
Distressed by the alleged threats and humiliation, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on her statement, a case has been registered and investigations are currently underway. Police officials said they are examining all aspects of the complaint, including digital communication and other available evidence.
A senior police officer stated that the allegations are serious and will be investigated thoroughly. Statements are being recorded and technical evidence is being reviewed to determine the sequence of events and verify the claims made in the complaint.
As of now, the accused has not made any public statement regarding the allegations. Police sources confirmed that efforts are being made to question him as part of the legal process. Authorities have also assured that the identity of the complainant will be protected in accordance with the law.
The case has once again drawn attention to concerns surrounding relationships formed through social media platforms. Law enforcement agencies continue to advise caution while engaging in online relationships and urge victims of harassment or blackmail to seek legal help without delay.
The investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings. Officials stated that medical, legal, and forensic procedures will be carried out as required.
This report is based on the police complaint filed by the woman. The accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
