Saif Ali Khan Discharged From Lilavati Hospital After Knife Attack

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, nearly a week after he was rushed to the hospital following a knife attack at his Bandra residence. The incident took place on January 16, 2025, when Saif, protecting his family, was targeted by an intruder. The attack resulted in multiple stab wounds, including a severe injury just 2 mm away from his spinal cord, leading to the release of spinal fluid.

He underwent two critical surgeries—one to address the spinal injury and another to treat damage to his arm and neck. During his stay in the hospital, Saif was showered with love and good wishes by fans, colleagues, and Bollywood stars, such as Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Priyanka Chopra, and Sanjay Dutt, who wished him a speedy recovery. Kareena Kapoor Khan, his wife, and Sara Ali Khan, his daughter, are sighted outside the hospital who accompanied him during his release from the hospital.

The attack by Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, has drawn serious concern into the security situation of Mumbai. He has been taken away by police into custody after earlier today was brought to the site of the incident for reconstruction of the event within the purview of ongoing investigation. This shock to the film fraternity and the fans led them to urge tougher law enforcement action against crime in the city.

Saif Ali Khan’s sister, Soha Ali Khan, reported that he is doing all right and intends to get back on his feet soon. The fans hope for his complete recovery and his return to work.
