Pahalgam : In a powerful and emotional address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday vowed that the perpetrators of the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, will face the “harshest punishment.” Speaking during his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat‘, PM Modi captured the seething anger and deep pain felt by every Indian, making it clear that justice will not only be delivered but delivered decisively.
“The Blood of Every Indian is Boiling”: PM Modi
Highlighting the pain of the nation, Prime Minister Modi said, “The blood of every Indian is boiling after seeing the heart-wrenching images from Pahalgam. Today, every citizen, irrespective of region, language, or background, is mourning and standing united in anger and grief.”
The Prime Minister asserted that the Pahalgam attack was a direct result of India’s remarkable progress in Jammu and Kashmir — a progress the enemies of peace could not tolerate.
Enemies of Progress Hatched Terror Conspiracy
Reflecting on the developments in Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi said, “There was a new vibrancy in schools and colleges. Construction activities were at their peak. Democracy was deepening, tourism was hitting record highs, and the income of common citizens was rising. New opportunities were opening up for our youth. The enemies of the nation, enemies of Jammu and Kashmir, could not tolerate this resurgence.”
PM Modi accused the conspirators of being “frustrated and cowardly,” attempting to plunge Kashmir back into turmoil through bloodshed and violence.

Sending a strong message of resilience, PM Modi said, “The unity and solidarity of 140 crore Indians are our biggest strength in this war against terrorism. Today, the entire country, with one voice, stands against these evil forces.”
The Prime Minister called upon the nation to display unwavering willpower and strengthen the collective resolve to defeat terrorism.
Global Leaders Stand with India
In a significant diplomatic signal, PM Modi revealed that the world community has expressed solidarity with India. Messages of condolence and condemnation have poured in from global leaders, reinforcing the world’s united stand against terrorism.
“The world stands with 1.4 billion Indians in our fight,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Harshest Punishment Assured for Terrorists
Assuring the victim families, PM Modi said, “I want to firmly assure the families of the victims — justice will definitely be served. The terrorists and the masterminds behind this heinous attack will not be spared. They will face the harshest response.”
