According to Katihar Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Sharma, the SUV was returning from a wedding function when it rammed into a tractor approaching from the opposite direction. Begusarai Tragedy: One Killed, One Injured in Bike-SUV Collision

In a separate incident on Monday in Bihar’s Begusarai district, one person was killed and another seriously injured when a speeding SUV struck a motorcycle on State Highway 55 near Hardiya Dhala, under Mufassil police station jurisdiction.

The SUV, reportedly belonging to the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Naokothi Block, hit the bike head-on. The rider died on the spot, while the pillion rider suffered critical injuries. The SUV driver attempted to flee the scene but lost control and rammed the vehicle into an electric pole. Furious local residents overpowered the driver, assaulted him, and handed him over to police.
