According to police sources, the survivor, a young woman from Malharganj, trained at the academy from 2021 until November 2023. She recounted a distressing episode that occurred on November 8, 2023, when Khan allegedly used the excuse of correcting her rifle posture to inappropriately touch her.

“When I resisted and tried to push him away, he threatened me, saying — ‘If you want to stay in the academy, you’ll have to do as I say. Otherwise, I’ll ruin your career,’” the survivor told the police.

Initially gripped by fear and trauma, the girl refrained from speaking out. However, after gathering courage and informing her family, she approached the police along with her brother. A formal FIR was registered, and Khan was immediately taken into custody.

Coach Accused of Targeting Multiple Girls

The incident has triggered outrage in the local community. During the ongoing investigation, police discovered disturbing digital evidence on the accused’s phone, suggesting the existence of videos and chats implicating him in the exploitation of multiple women.

What is even more alarming is the claim made by Bajrang Dal, a Hindu activist group, alleging that over 150 Hindu girls may have been targeted in a similar fashion. The group has demanded a thorough probe into a possible larger exploitation racket.

Police Action and Ongoing Probe

The Indore Police have launched a detailed investigation, including forensic analysis of the seized devices. Authorities confirmed that more survivors might come forward as the probe unfolds.

“We are examining all digital evidence retrieved from Khan’s phone and computer. If there are more victims, we urge them to come forward and record their statements,” said a senior police official from Indore.

The incident has sparked outrage among parents and guardians of young trainees in Indore. Local residents are demanding stricter background checks on coaches and academy staff to ensure the safety of minors and young athletes.
