Hathras: Professor Dr Rajneesh accused of making obscene videos with girl students

Hathras P.C. Bagla Degree College News In a shocking revelation, Professor Dr Rajneesh, head of the Geography department at P.C. Bagla Degree College, has been accused of making obscene videos with girl students. According to the police investigation, the accused professor had recorded these videos on his mobile phone, with around 59 such videos found so far. Some of these videos were also reportedly uploaded on adult websites. The police are vigorously searching for the absconding professor and the Superintendent of Police (SP), Hathras, has formed three teams to further investigate the matter. Meanwhile, the college administration has suspended Dr Rajneesh from his post.

The scandal came to light about a month ago when an anonymous complaint was sent to the National Commission for Women (NCW) and various police and administrative authorities. The complaint accused Dr Rajneesh, who is working as the Chief Proctor at the college, of sexually abusing girl students. Following the complaint, the City Circle Officer (CO) began an investigation, recording statements of several people. The complaint is accompanied by 12 photographs, some of which were allegedly taken inside the college campus, in which Dr Rajnish is seen behaving inappropriately with students.

The police attempted to identify the students seen in the photographs, but the college administration refused to cooperate. After reviewing the complaint, SP Chiranjeev Nath Sinha appointed Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ashok Kumar Singh to investigate the allegations. The ASP found several aspects of the complaint to be true and submitted a report to the SP. Industrial police post in-charge Sunil Kumar then lodged an FIR at Hathras Gate police station under rape and other relevant sections of the law.

As the matter is gaining momentum, the police are trying to contact the victims and record their statements. However, many students are reluctant to come forward due to fear of social stigma and repercussions. Reports suggest that Dr Rajnish allegedly lured the students by promising them good marks in examinations and jobs. They then recorded the inappropriate videos on their mobile phones.

The scandal has sparked public outrage with around 59 such videos surfacing. The police are intensifying the search for the accused professor, while urging victims to come forward to help in the investigation. Meanwhile, officials are also probing whether college staff were involved in covering up the abuse.

The case has raised serious concerns about the safety of students and the accountability of faculty members in educational institutions. The authorities are under pressure to ensure justice to the victims and take strict action against those found guilty.
