Goldy Brar Makes Big Claim in BBC Documentary
In a shocking twist, gangster Goldy Brar has claimed that popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was in touch with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The claim was made in a new BBC World Service documentary about Moosewala’s life and murder.
“Good Morning” and “Good Night” Messages to Bishnoi
According to Goldy Brar, Moosewala used to send “good morning” and “good night” messages to Lawrence Bishnoi. He said Moosewala did this to stay in his good books and to flatter him. Bishnoi is currently behind bars in a high-security jail and is known to be one of India’s most dangerous gangsters.
Tension Over Kabaddi Tournament
Goldy also said that Moosewala supported their rival group during a kabaddi tournament in Bhagomajra village. He claimed that this support created serious tension between them, adding to the growing differences.
Moosewala’s Family Rejects the Documentary
Sidhu Moosewala’s family has strongly denied the claims made in the documentary. They have filed a petition in court asking for a stay on its release. The family believes the documentary can spread false information and hurt their emotions.
Goldy Brar Justifies Moosewala’s Murder
In the documentary, Goldy Brar shockingly justified Moosewala’s killing. He said, “When decency fails, it’s the gunshot that gets heard.” He also accused Moosewala of using his money and political power to help people who had harmed Goldy’s group in the past.
No Remorse Over Vicky Middukhera’s Murder
Goldy also mentioned the 2021 murder of Vicky Middukhera, a leader of the Youth Akali Dal. Vicky was a close friend of both Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Goldy said he had no regrets over the murder and felt proud of his actions.
Questions Raised on Police and Agencies
Goldy Brar continues to appear in media interviews despite being wanted by Indian authorities. His open appearance in the BBC documentary has raised serious questions about the efforts of police and central agencies to locate him. Goldy is believed to be hiding abroad.
Goldy’s Rise from SOPU to Most-Wanted Gangster
Goldy Brar is the son of a retired police officer and once studied at Panjab University. He and Lawrence Bishnoi were both members of the Students’ Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU). Over the years, they rose from student politics to becoming two of the most feared names in India’s crime world.
