Ambulances and medical teams rushed to the scene to ensure that no one got injured and to keep the situation under control.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which started on January 13, has already seen a staggering footfall of over 77.2 million pilgrims as of January 18. The numbers are expected to surge in the coming days as the mela moves closer to key bathing dates.

  • Mauni Amavasya (Second Shahi Snan): January 29
