Harbhajan Singh Involved in Heated Online Dispute, Registers FIR Against Randomsena for 'Khalistan Murdabad' Provocation

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has been embroiled in a heated online row after an online dispute with an X user by the name of “Randomsena.” The exchange got heated when the user challenged Harbhajan to utter the words “Khalistan Murdabad,” calling him unpatriotic and even going so far as to accuse him of being a Pakistani supporter.

The row started when the user posted an Instagram story from Harbhajan Singh and asked him to clearly denounce Khalistan. The user went on to continuously ask Harbhajan to utter “Khalistan Murdabad” while also calling him a Pakistani turncoat.

The ex-off-spinner, clearly agitated by the abuses and accusations, lashed out in Hindi, calling the user “mentally unfit.” But this did not stop the confrontation, as the user continued to attack Harbhajan and invited others to retweet his tweets until the cricketer lashed back.

Harbhajan Takes Legal Action

Following the prolonged taunting, Harbhajan broke the news that he had lodged an FIR against the X user for reportedly harassing him on the internet. The user, subsequently identified as Abhishek Singh from Bihar, is said to be infamous for his controversial cyber activities.

Referring to reports from Free Press Journal, Abhishek Singh received ₹50,000 per month from his employment but eventually resigned to dedicate himself to what he terms “raids.” Although not a member of any law enforcement organization, he targets those he suspects of insulting Hindu deities or Hindus, calling for authorities to act against them.

User Appeals to Union Minister

After the exchange, Abhishek Singh’s Instagram account was suspended, leading him to tag Union Minister Anurag Thakur on X, asking him to intervene and reinstate his account.

His online presence is said to have started as early as February 2020, when he was active in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests, and has posted controversial content from time to time.

Harbhajan’s Stance on Patriotism

Harbhajan Singh, who is known to have shown very nationalistic feelings earlier, did not answer the call of uttering “Khalistan Murdabad” but made it loud and clear that he does not accept online insults or false defamation. His decision to register an FIR indicates that he is determined to seek legal action against harassment by targeting.

As the row continues, only time will tell if more legal action is taken against Abhishek Singh or if things are taken to a further extreme on social media.
