Delhi Assembly Election Announce Today: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is about to announce the timetable of the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 at 2:00 PM today. A press conference is to be held at the Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, where every minute detail relating to the dates and arrangements is to be announced.
It has issued invitations to media professionals across the country and emphasized the importance of the announcement. The conference will clarify the polling schedule, guidelines, among other critical facets about the electoral process.
With the 2025 assembly elections fast approaching, political parties are intensifying their campaigns. AAP, which won a thumping victory in 2020 with 62 of the 70 seats, is hoping to do it again this time. On the other hand, BJP, which could win only eight seats in the last elections, is not leaving any stone unturned this time to make some serious inroads.
Amid the election preparations, a new controversy has emerged. The New Delhi District Election Officer has reportedly raised concerns over alleged pressure from AAP leaders, including Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh. The officer claims the leaders have been visiting the election office frequently to request personal details of objectors—a demand not mandated under the Election Commission’s guidelines.
Such issues are expected to be addressed by the Election Commission to ensure that the electoral process is smooth and transparent.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in Delhi-NCR, which may impact the logistics of elections. Heavy snowfall is also expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, which may impact campaign plans for parties traveling to the capital.
Stay tuned for updates from the ECI press conference at 2:00 PM as the official schedule for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 is released.
