
As a precautionary measure for VVIP movements and two major Amrit Snan festivals to take place during the next fortnight, 1,542 newly promoted head constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police have been deployed in the Mahakumbh area. Their deployment has been ordered from January 22 to February 5, according to directives from the DGP headquarters.
The Mahakumbh has scheduled two mass Amrit Snan ceremonies at the venue —
Mauni Amavasya on 29 January, and Basant Panchami on 3 February. Important personalities like President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are supposed to visit during the event period. In fact, with such news, the personnel of the recently appointed head constables are deployed in the city of Prayagraj after completing training. Their training ended on Tuesday, and they were despatched from training centers in Sitapur, Moradabad, Unnao, Jalaun, Gorakhpur, Mirzapur, Mainpuri, Sultanpur, and Prayagraj.

Alongside these elaborate security arrangements, Wednesday is also witnessing a cabinet meeting in Prayagraj. it will include the presence of 44 ministers. Liaison officers from the police department are looking after ministerial movement between district borders to the city and back.
