Delhi is witnessing a sharp spike in five-star hotel prices as the city gears up to host the India AI Impact Summit 2026, one of the largest global technology events to be held in the country this year. Luxury hotels across the national capital are reporting near-full occupancy, prompting a significant rise in room tariffs during the summit period.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 16 to February 20. The event is expected to draw massive international participation, with official estimates suggesting more than 35,000 registrations already recorded. Delegates from over 100 countries, including heads of government, senior ministers, policy makers, and leaders from global technology companies, are expected to attend the summit.
This surge in international travel has placed immense pressure on Delhi’s premium hospitality sector. According to data compiled from hotel booking platforms, room rates at several five-star properties have reached record highs. A one-night stay at The Imperial in New Delhi on February 16 is priced at nearly ₹1.97 lakh, excluding additional taxes of over ₹35,000. Other luxury hotels are also charging premium rates, reflecting the extraordinary demand.
Hyatt Regency Delhi is listing rooms at around ₹50,000 per night, while The Leela Palace New Delhi is charging approximately ₹78,000 per night, including taxes. Shangri-La Eros New Delhi has already sold out rooms for February 18, and available rooms on February 16 are priced close to ₹89,000 per night. Several properties have indicated limited availability as the summit dates approach.
Hotel executives confirm that demand is strong across all categories, including luxury suites. Vineet Kapoor, hotel manager at The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in New Delhi, said the property is close to full occupancy on key dates, particularly February 19 and 20. He noted that multiple international leaders and high-profile delegates are scheduled to stay at the hotel during the summit.
Industry insiders say that room tariffs at luxury hotels have increased by nearly 30 to 50 percent compared to other dates in February. Davinder Juj, general manager of Eros Hotel New Delhi, said the pricing surge reflects a recovery opportunity for the hospitality sector after relatively softer business in December and January. He added that hotels are recalibrating their revenue strategies to make the most of the high-demand period.
Five-star properties such as ITC Maurya, Taj Palace, and The Leela Palace are reportedly operating at peak-season pricing levels during the summit. With limited inventory and an influx of international guests, premium accommodation in the city has become scarce.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is not only shaping global conversations around artificial intelligence but is also delivering a significant economic boost to Delhi’s hospitality and services sector. As the summit approaches, hotel prices are expected to remain elevated, reflecting the scale and stature of the event on the global stage.
