
Sitapur : Kotwali Nagar area woman accused MP Rakesh Rathore for sexual exploitation. On her complaint, the police have registered a case.
The victim had accused MP Rakesh Rathore of sexually exploiting her for the past four years promising aid in her political career under the guise of marriage and even produced call recordings to the police as evidence. She also alleged that the accused have been continuously threatening her.
According to the complaint, Case No. 16/2025 has been registered at Kotwali Nagar Police Station, Sitapur, under IPC Section 376 and other related provisions, including BNS Sections 64, 351(3), and 127(2). The police have started an investigation. Obtained electronic evidence. Conducted a medical examination of the victim and recorded her statement under Section 164 of the CrPC in front of a magistrate.

She confirmed it in her court statement. Kotwal Anoop Shukla of the city said, “Further evidences are being collected and everything legal would be completed soon.” The police have also provided security for the victim to feel safe.
