Mumbai: Actor Aadar Jain has finally broken his silence on the controversy that erupted recently over his “time pass” comment, which was being perceived as a reference to his past relationship. The comment, made during his pre-wedding celebrations with Alekha Advani, sparked a debate on social media. Aadar, who was previously in a relationship with actress Tara Sutaria, has now clarified his stance in an interview to The Times of India.
Talking about the matter, Aadar said that his words were misquoted and the controversy stemmed from false stories. “People made it something else and pointed to someone else. There are a lot of false stories, misconceptions, but there is no fact-checker,” he said.
Aadar also expressed disappointment at how the situation affected the families involved. “Unfortunately, when people make up stories and say certain things, the ones who suffer the most are the people involved and their families. A lot has been written about this since day one and out of respect everyone chose to stay quiet. However, this has led to even more misinterpretations. This is unfair to Alekhya and her family, my family and Tara and her family. There is no truth to any of these claims.”
The controversy began when a video of Adar’s pre-wedding celebrations surfaced, in which he allegedly made the “time pass” comment. Many speculated that this was targeted at his past relationship with Tara Sutaria, leading to widespread discussions online. However, Adar’s clarification aims to put an end to the speculation, with many insisting that his words were taken out of context.
Neither Tara Sutaria nor Alekhya Advani have commented on the controversy. Aadar and Alekha are currently preparing for their wedding, and the actor hopes to move on from the unnecessary speculations about his past relationship.
With this statement, Aadar Jain has tried to bring out the truth and urged people to verify facts before spreading false news.
