iPhone 16 launch in India: The iPhone 16 series is anticipated to launch around September 10, featuring a new vertical camera layout, A18 chipset, and 8GB RAM. Apple might introduce an Action Button and a new ‘Capture’ button, while maintaining last year’s display sizes and pricing.
Although Apple has remained silent about the upcoming iPhone 16 series, multiple reports now confirm that the Cupertino tech giant will unveil its premium device at California Park around the same time as last year, suggesting a tentative launch date of September 10.
iPhone 16 Design:
Rumor has it that Apple is planning to tweak the design of the iPhone 16. The tech giant is expected to revert to a vertical camera layout, similar to that of the iPhone X or iPhone 12, moving away from the diagonal arrangement of its predecessor. This new layout is anticipated to enhance the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus’s ability to capture spatial video.
Apple is reportedly replacing the mute button on standard iPhone 16 models with the Action Button, first introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro last year. Additionally, the company may introduce a new ‘Capture’ button, enabling users to start video recording, zoom in and out, or focus on a subject.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the standard iPhone 16 will be available in five colors: black, green, pink, blue, and white. If accurate, this would signal the end of support for the blue and yellow variants from the previous model.
iPhone 16 Processor: iPhone 16 launch in India
Multiple reports suggest that Apple will equip all iPhone 16 models with the A18 chipset, enabling AI tasks directly on the device. However, the processors in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may differ from the Pro variants in terms of GPU performance.
Additionally, Apple is expected to boost the iPhone 16 series’ RAM to 8GB, up from 6GB in its predecessor.
iPhone 16 Price and Display:
Apple is expected to maintain the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED displays with a 60Hz refresh rate for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, with the standard models likely retaining last year’s price of around $800.
However, a report from MacRumors suggests that Apple might incorporate micro-lens technology to enhance brightness and reduce power consumption on the iPhone 16. The company is also rumored to be using Border Reduction Structure (BRS) to minimize bezels on the iPhone 16 models, though it’s unclear if these design changes will apply to the standard variants.
