The remains were found near an areca nut plantation, a relatively isolated area surrounded by farmland. According to police officials, the skull and bones believed to be from the hands and legs were recovered from the spot. During the inspection, investigators also found a bag and an identity card nearby, which helped them confirm the woman’s identity.

Yamuna had been missing since March 21. That day was also her birthday. According to the preliminary investigation, she had reportedly gone to meet a man named Raghavendra after he repeatedly asked to see her. After leaving to meet him, she never returned home.

When her family members were unable to reach her, they approached the police and filed a missing person complaint at the Kyathasandra Police Station in Tumakuru. The case remained unresolved until the remains were discovered days later in Nelamangala.

Police say Yamuna’s personal life had gone through several changes over the years. She had married Mallikarjun around 19 years ago, and the couple has two children. However, about eight years ago, Yamuna reportedly left her husband after developing a relationship with another man, Raghavendra. She lived with him in Doddaballapura for nearly five years before eventually returning to her husband’s home two years ago.

Investigators are now trying to determine what happened on the day she went missing. Her meeting with Raghavendra has become an important part of the investigation, and police are examining whether the meeting could be linked to her disappearance and death.

After the remains were discovered, police informed Yamuna’s family members. They visited the site and identified the belongings recovered near the bones, which helped confirm that the remains belonged to her. The tragic news has left the family devastated, and they are demanding justice.

Police officials from Dabaspet station visited the spot and carried out a detailed inspection of the area. Early findings suggest that the woman may have been murdered and her body dumped near the plantation in an attempt to hide the crime and destroy evidence.

A case has been registered, and investigators are now working to piece together Yamuna’s final movements. Authorities are examining phone records, questioning people who were in contact with her, and tracking possible suspects connected to the case.

The police say the investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to trace the person responsible and uncover the exact sequence of events that led to Yamuna’s death.
