‘Dhurandhar’ Actor Arrested in Mumbai Over Rape Allegations by Domestic Help

Mumbai Police have arrested actor Nadeem Khan, who was recently seen in the film Dhurandhar, following serious allegations of sexual exploitation made by a woman who worked as a domestic help. The arrest was made on January 22 after a 41-year-old woman approached the police, accusing the actor of repeatedly raping her over nearly a decade under the false promise of marriage.

According to police officials, the complainant had been employed as a domestic help for several actors in Mumbai and came into contact with Khan years ago. Over time, the two developed a close relationship. The woman alleged that Khan assured her he would marry her and, based on that promise, subjected her to sexual assault on multiple occasions.

In her complaint, the woman stated that the alleged assaults took place at her residence in Malwani as well as at Khan’s home in Versova, both located in Mumbai’s western suburbs. She claimed the abuse continued for approximately ten years, during which the actor repeatedly reaffirmed his intention to marry her.

However, when she later asked Khan to fulfill his promise, he allegedly refused, prompting her to approach the police. The complaint was initially registered at Versova Police Station, but since the first alleged incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Malvani police and the woman currently resides there, the case was transferred as a Zero FIR to the Malvani Police Station for further investigation.

A senior police official confirmed that Khan is currently in police custody and that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are recording statements and examining evidence related to the timeline and locations mentioned in the complaint.

The arrest has drawn attention due to Khan’s recent appearance in a high-profile film, but police officials emphasized that the matter will be handled strictly according to the law. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
