Aishwarya Rai, the estranged wife of Tej Pratap Yadav, has broken her silence after his recent shocking revelation about being in a 12-year relationship with another woman. Tej Pratap’s Facebook post introducing Anushka Yadav as his girlfriend stirred a political storm and was swiftly followed by his expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and family for six years. The post was later deleted, with Tej Pratap claiming his Facebook account had been hacked. However, the damage had already been done.
Reacting to the developments, Aishwarya Rai has accused the Yadav family of orchestrating a calculated drama ahead of the Bihar elections. She questioned the timing of the move, implying it was a carefully crafted public relations strategy to distance themselves from Tej Pratap’s controversial personal life.
“Why was my life ruined? Why was I beaten? Now they have suddenly had a social awakening,” she said in a scathing statement. “They are all together. They have not separated. I’m certain Rabri Devi must have assured him that they would manage the situation and advised him to stay calm.”
Aishwarya, who married Tej Pratap Yadav in 2018 only to separate within months, expressed her anguish over how the situation has been handled both politically and personally. She said she found out about the divorce proceedings and other developments through the media. “All the information I got was through the media… I did not know what was going on,” she revealed.
Criticizing the family’s role in her suffering, she asked, “If they knew about the 12-year-long affair, then why did they get him married to me? Where was their social justice when I was being beaten? Ask them, what was the need to ruin my life?”
Her remarks clearly reflect a deep sense of betrayal, not just from her estranged husband but from the entire Yadav family. “They put the blame on me for everything. Now that it is out, he has had an affair for 12 years and blaming the woman is the easiest way out,” she added with visible pain.
As Bihar heads towards elections, Aishwarya Rai’s words have added a new dimension to the ongoing political and personal saga surrounding one of the state’s most prominent political families. Concluding her emotional statement, she said, “When will I get justice? I will continue my fight.”
