Air India Announces Major Upgrades for 2025 : Air India, under the ownership of the Tata Group, has announced extensive upgrades to its international operations starting in 2025. The enhancements include deploying advanced aircraft, improving flight schedules, and expanding connectivity across major global routes. These changes aim to provide passengers with an elevated travel experience while strengthening the airline’s presence on international circuits.
To enhance its fleet, Air India will introduce flagship Airbus A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft on key routes, featuring upgraded cabin interiors. These enhancements will include fully flat beds in Business Class and the consistent availability of Premium Economy, particularly on flights to the US, UK, and Europe.
Further improvements will see Vistara’s modern A321neo and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner replacing existing aircraft on routes between Delhi-Frankfurt, Mumbai-Frankfurt, Delhi-Singapore, and Mumbai-Singapore. The retrofitted planes will offer the latest cabin designs, ensuring passenger comfort and convenience.
Starting January 1, a fourth daily flight will operate between Delhi and Bangkok. This increased frequency will enable one-stop connections from Bangkok to major cities in North America and Europe, including New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, and Amsterdam.
From January 16, Air India’s retrofitted A320neo aircraft will operate on the Delhi-Bangkok route. These aircraft will feature updated interiors across three classes—Economy, Premium Economy, and Business—along with the complimentary Vista Stream inflight entertainment service for a better onboard experience.
Additionally, schedules for Delhi-Frankfurt and Delhi-Paris flights will be optimized from February 1, offering greater flexibility for passengers. These adjustments will provide seamless one-stop connections to destinations in Australia, such as Sydney and Melbourne, as well as to key cities in Southeast Asia, including Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City.
These developments reflect Air India’s commitment to elevating its service standards and positioning itself as a leading global airline. With a focus on modernizing its fleet and enhancing connectivity, the airline is poised to offer a premium travel experience to passengers worldwide.
