Scottsdale, Arizona:

US Plane Crash: A dramatic aviation accident has occurred at Scottsdale Airport during the afternoon when a Learjet 35A veered off the runway when landing and had collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet. According to reports one person died from the crash, while four other people were taken to the hospital with injuries; emergency services had been called instantly.
It happened at about 2:45 PM. Both planes were badly damaged by the crash. After the accident, all the flight operations were suspended at the airport due to some technical issues and the need to provide appropriate medical care to the casualties.
Aviation planning and outreach coordinator Kelli Kuester of Scottsdale Airport said preliminary evidence seems to indicate the Learjet’s main landing gear may have collapsed upon touchdown, causing the plane to crash. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, with two people being transported to trauma centers and the third being stable at a local hospital. One person remains trapped in the mangled plane wreckage, and rescue teams are working to continue to free the person trapped inside.
Dave Folio, Scottsdale Fire Department spokesperson confirmed that three of the victims have been transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Officials are yet to make public any details about the victims.
The FAA and NTSB have formally opened an investigation into the accident to establish a cause for it and avoid its recurrence in the future.
Aviation Issues in Question
Scottsdale Airport is a significant hub for private jet operations, particularly during high-profile events such as the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament, which is currently drawing large crowds in the vicinity.
This marks the fourth plane crash in the United States within the past ten days, raising concerns about aviation safety. Authorities are closely examining all recent incidents to assess potential underlying causes and implement preventive measures.
Further updates will be posted as the investigation unfolds.
