A rather unsettling incident occurred on Monday evening in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra West area involving Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur. As per reports, a 47-year-old woman allegedly forced her way into the actor’s residence, claiming she had come to meet him with gifts.

At the time of the incident, Aditya was away for a shoot, and only his house help, Sangeeta Pawar, was present at home. Around 6 PM, the woman rang the doorbell and asked if it was Aditya Roy Kapur’s house. Upon confirmation, she told Sangeeta that she had brought clothes and other gifts for the actor and insisted that she had an appointment with him at 6 PM. Trusting her, Sangeeta allowed the woman to wait inside the house.
Coincidentally, Aditya returned home around the same time. When informed about the visitor, he immediately told his staff that he didn’t recognize the woman and had no prior arrangement to meet anyone. Despite being told this, the woman continued trying to initiate a conversation with the actor, making him uncomfortable.
In response, Aditya stepped out to contact the building’s society manager, Jayashree Dunkadu, and alerted his own manager, Shruti Rao. Shruti quickly arrived at Rizvi Heights and reached out to the Khar Police.
The woman, however, refused to leave even when asked to do so multiple times. Once the police arrived, she identified herself as Ghazala Zhakaria Siddiqui, a resident of Dubai. But when officers asked her for details about her connection with the actor and why she entered the home uninvited, she avoided the questions and remained evasive.
After a preliminary investigation, police determined that the woman had unlawfully entered the home with questionable intentions. An FIR was filed under Section 331(2) of the Indian Penal Code for trespassing. The complaint was officially lodged by Aditya’s house help, Sangeeta Pawar.
This incident has once again raised pressing concerns about the safety and personal privacy of public figures. It’s alarming how easily someone unknown was able to gain access to a celebrity’s private residence, potentially putting lives at risk.
On the professional front, Aditya Roy Kapur is set to appear next in Anurag Basu’s upcoming ensemble film Metro… In Dino. The star-studded cast includes Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta. The film is slated for theatrical release on July 4, 2025.
