Udaipur Car Accident: A devastating road accident in the early hours of Saturday claimed the lives of four young friends and left six others injured after two cars collided near Nela Talab in the Savina area of Udaipur district. The incident has once again raised serious concerns over high-speed driving and road safety during late-night travel.

Victims Were Returning After Religious Gathering
According to police officials, six friends were travelling in a single car after attending a Mehfil-e-Milad programme in Udaipur. The group was reportedly heading towards the highway to have tea and celebrate a friend’s birthday when the fatal crash occurred.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Mohammad Ayan (17)
- Adil Qureshi (14)
- Sher Mohammad (19)
- Ghulam Khwaja (17)
All four were residents of Udaipur.
Two Youths Critical, Battling for Life
Two other occupants of the same vehicle, Wasim (20) and Mohammed Kaif (19), sustained severe injuries and were rushed to MB Hospital, where doctors have described their condition as critical.
Speeding Video Emerges Before Crash
A video recorded just moments before the collision has surfaced on social media and is now part of the police investigation. The footage allegedly shows Sher Mohammad driving at an extremely high speed, initially estimated between 100 and 120 kmph, later accelerating to nearly 140 kmph.
In the video, one of the passengers can be heard urging the driver to slow down. The warning, however, was ignored. Barely a minute later, the car met with the deadly accident.
Injured Cried for Help, Help Arrived Too Late
After the collision, the injured youths reportedly cried for help for nearly 10 minutes. Local residents eventually reached the spot, but by then, four occupants had succumbed to their injuries, while two were found in a critical state.
Gujarat-Registered Car Also Involved
The second vehicle involved in the crash bore a Gujarat registration number and was travelling from Rajgarh in Churu district towards Vapi, Gujarat.
Four occupants of that vehicle were also injured:
- Mahipal Jat (48)
- Rajbala (45)
- Rajesh (26)
- Karmveer Singh (24)
All four are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Police Action and Ongoing Investigation
Police have seized both vehicles involved in the accident and sent the bodies of the deceased to the mortuary at MB Hospital for post-mortem examination. Officials confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the collision, including speed, visibility, and road conditions.
Authorities have urged young drivers to exercise restraint and responsibility, especially during night travel, stressing that reckless driving not only endangers lives but leaves families shattered forever.
