Bardhaman: Former Indian cricketer and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly escaped a serious accident on Tuesday after his vehicle met with an accident involving a lorry on the Durgapur Expressway. Thankfully, Ganguly was safe, and there were no major injuries.
The incident occurred while Ganguly was on his way to Bardhaman in his convoy. A lorry came out of nowhere and hit his car, for a brief moment making the vehicle lose control. But thanks to the swift action of his driver, who instantly slammed on the brakes, a big accident was averted.
In spite of the crash, Ganguly’s vehicle did not experience much damage, and he drove on after the situation was contained. The authorities were notified regarding the accident, and an inquiry is ongoing to find out the actual reason for the crash.
