After days of silence, the couple has now spoken publicly, calling the leak a breach of privacy and accusing a man named Rubel of circulating the video with malicious intent.

“I Thought About Suicide,” Says Girlfriend

Sofik’s girlfriend gave an emotional statement where she claimed that the leaked clip was never meant to be public and was allegedly stolen.

She said,

“Someone stole our video and leaked it. After this, I started getting constant suicidal thoughts. If anything happens to me, Rubel will be responsible.”

According to her, the leak did not happen suddenly. She alleged that Rubel had been threatening and blackmailing them for months. She said he posted the clip online after the couple refused to give in to his demands.

Internet Divided, But Support Grows

Moments after her video surfaced, reactions online started shifting. While the initial wave of comments was full of trolling and criticism, many social media users are now expressing sympathy and demanding legal action against the person responsible for the leak.

Some are also questioning why private digital content—consensual or not—is repeatedly used as a tool for humiliation and revenge in the digital age.

Who Is Sofik SK?

Sofik SK is a rising Bengali influencer known for his comedy skits and relatable reels. Over the past year and a half, he and his girlfriend have appeared together in videos that gained popularity, especially among young viewers. Their content is now resurfacing, but under the shadow of this scandal.

Sofik Responds and Apologises

Following the uproar, Sofik posted a statement in Bengali, apologising to his followers and claiming the video was recorded more than a year ago.

He said,

“The video is old. I am not the same person anymore. I just want to focus on my work. Some of my own friends couldn’t accept my success, and that’s why the video was leaked.”

Sofik also alleged that jealousy and rivalry were behind the leak and asked the public not to spread the clip further.
