He was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital where emergency surgery was conducted upon him by a team of doctors. Heavily concerned, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, who led the operation, briefed the media about the details related to Saif’s health issue. “Saif suffered a serious injury to his thoracic spine owing to a knife blow. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid,” said Dr. Dange.

The actor also sustained deep wounds on his left hand and the right side of his neck, which were treated by the plastic surgery team of the hospital. “Khan is completely stable now. He is in recovery mode and out of danger,” Dr. Dange added.

The Mumbai Police have filed a case of “armed robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt.” According to the police, the attacker escaped using the staircase of the building after stabbing the person. The police are studying the CCTV visuals of the sixth floor to identify the intruder.

The motive behind the attack is yet unknown, and the investigation continues. The officials are also interrogating the people living in that building and other employees to learn more about this incident.
