In a moment of sheer academic brilliance, Srishti Sharma, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula, has made history by scoring a perfect 100% in the CBSE Class 10 examinations, emerging as the tricity topper and setting a new benchmark for excellence.

Residing in Sector 25, Panchkula, Srishti is the daughter of Rajeev Sharma, a government employee with CITCO. Her success, as she humbly attributes, stems from dedicated self-study and deep, focused reading. “I read every single word and didn’t leave anything out,” shared Srishti, exuding calm confidence.

Behind the Success: Self-Discipline and Family Support

Srishti’s mother proudly spoke of her unwavering focus and clarity. “She has always been very determined. Even though she has opted for the non-medical stream, she waited for the results before confirming her future path,” she said.

With eyes set on engineering, Srishti aims to join IIT Mumbai, and has already begun her preparations, demonstrating the same discipline that made her a national topper.

Joint Second Rank: Yashasvi Bhav and Amisha Prakash Score 99.8%

Right behind Srishti, two bright minds—Yashasvi Bhav of Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, and Amisha Prakash of Delhi Public School, Sector 40—secured 99.8% marks, claiming the joint second position.

Amisha, a confident and driven student, credits her success to her family. “My parents have always supported me unconditionally. My elder sister, who works in a multinational company, has been my role model,” she said. Amisha is currently enrolled in FIITJEE coaching and dreams of becoming a computer science engineer.

Third Position: Gurnoor and Harshveer Score 99.6%

Gurnoor from St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, and Harshveer from Shemrock School, Mohali, have tied for third place with 99.6% marks, further highlighting the academic excellence flourishing in the tricity region.

Government Schools Shine: 100% Result in Four Schools

This year brought positive news for government schools in Chandigarh. The overall pass percentage rose to 81.18%, a significant jump from 78.72% last year.

Four government schools — GMSSS-8, GMSSS-27, GMSSS-28, and GMSSS-35 — recorded an impressive 100% result in the Class 10 exams.

Leading the government school achievers is Arnav Sharma of GMSSS, Sector 21, who scored 97.4%, becoming the top performer among government school students.
