A political storm erupted in Uttar Pradesh after an investigative report by Dainik Bhaskar alleged that individuals seeking meetings with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati were being asked to pay ₹5 lakh, while aspirants seeking party tickets were allegedly expected to arrange as much as ₹3.35 crore in cash.
