- Cummins’ Short-Ball Strategy: The Australian captain was relentless, claiming R Ashwin and Nitish Kumar Reddy with precision bouncers. Reddy, who fought valiantly for his 42 runs, fell just short of his maiden Test fifty.
- Boland Wraps Up the Tail: Scott Boland made quick work of India’s lower order, removing Mohammed Siraj to end the innings.

Earlier in the match, Travis Head’s aggressive century set the tone for Australia. His dominant knock laid the foundation for the hosts’ dominance as they posted a significant first-innings lead.
Australia’s Chase
Chasing a modest 19-run target, Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney sealed the deal with ease. McSweeney hit two boundaries while Khawaja sealed the deal with a stylish four, guaranteeing a comprehensive win for Australia.
The series now levels at 1-1, with the stage all set for a decider in the third Test. India will have to regain its composure and also patch up its batting weaknesses while Australia would look to take forward this momentum.
