Rain Spells Relief in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh

Since Wednesday evening, light to moderate showers have been registered in Delhi-NCR and several districts of Uttar Pradesh, resulting in a minor drop in temperature and relief from increasing heat. As per IMD, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive heavy snowfall on Thursday, and several districts of Uttar Pradesh can expect rain and thunderstorms.

Rain and Snowfall Possible in Northeast and Other States

According to IMD reports, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh can look forward to light snowfall and rain. Light rain and thunderstorms are likely in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Delhi-NCR Set to Enjoy Pleasant Weather

People of Delhi can look forward to comfortable weather on Thursday. After a stretch of increasing temperature, the change in weather will be felt from the morning itself. The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy conditions during the day, with possibilities of light rain in the morning and afternoon.
Drizzles were also observed late in the night at various locations in the city. The cloud cover will continue for the next two to three days, with spasmodic rain causing a marginal fall in temperature.

Improvement in Air Quality Expected

Because of rain and cold winds, the Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh air is likely to get better. Rain will settle the pollutants, and there will be relief for people.

With rainshowers and cold winds persisting, Delhi-NCR and much of northern India will get to enjoy a pleasant change in weather. Further rains and snowfalls are predicted by IMD for the next couple of days, resulting in a cooler environment and better air quality throughout the region.
