Delhi Election 2025: Aam Aadmi Party Realeases Second List of Candidates; Manish Sisodia to Contest from Jangpura

Delhi Election 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has stepped up its preparations for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 by releasing its second list of candidates on Monday. The list includes 20 names, showcasing a mix of experienced leaders and fresh faces. This follows the earlier release of the first list containing 11 candidates.

The second list shows one big change: former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has shifted from his traditional Patparganj seat to Jangpura. This has been much of a talk, as he is one of the most important leaders of the party and a very sharp strategist. The Patparganj seat had always been Sisodia’s stronghold, but the party has now decided to bring a newly inducted civil services teacher to contest the seat.

Kejriwal Confident of Victory

AAP Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told media that the party was looking forward to winning in the majority of seats in the Delhi elections. “The Aam Aadmi Party is going to win a landslide victory in the next elections. Our candidates are the people’s candidate, and we are bound to deliver on our promise of good governance.”

Kejriwal also elaborated on the party’s successes in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the last decade. He again reiterated that AAP’s governance model still continues to appeal to the voters.

• Manish Sisodia New Constituency: This has been a strategic decision on the part of the party in shifting Sisodia from Patparganj to Jangpura, which could aim at strengthening the party’s footing in different constituencies.
• Focus on Fresh Faces: Inclusion of civil services teacher in Patparganj, AAP shows that there are intentions to bring in experts from diverse fields.  
• Balanced Approach: It shows experience as well as the emergence of new entrants with both stability and innovations.

AAP’s Strategy for 2025

With two lists so far, AAP has fielded candidates for 31 of the 70 assembly seats. The party’s focus on transparency and governance continues to be its key campaign theme. The remaining candidates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 are going to be a well-contested election, with AAP focusing on securing its third successive term. As the race now intensifies, there are eyes on how the opposing parties react to AAP’s surest strides.
