A wave of shock and fear swept through Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district after a well-known businessman, Jayraj Man Singh, was found brutally murdered in his own agricultural field. The victim’s throat had been slit, pointing to a planned and violent attack. Police suspect the murder may be linked to a high-value land dispute, though the exact motive is still under investigation.
The incident took place near Maharishi Vidya Mandir, under the jurisdiction of Sadar Kotwali police station. The gruesome discovery of the body triggered panic in the surrounding area, with locals expressing deep concern over the law-and-order situation.
Body Found in Agricultural Field, Area Sealed for Investigation
According to police officials, Jayraj Man Singh’s body was discovered in a mustard field adjacent to his farmland. The businessman had reportedly gone to the field earlier in the evening. When he failed to return, family members began searching, eventually finding his body lying in the field.
The severity of the injuries, especially the deep throat wound, suggests that the attackers intended to kill and flee without leaving witnesses.
Police and Forensic Teams Rush to the Spot
Soon after receiving information, the Superintendent of Police reached the site along with a heavy police force. A forensic science team was also deployed to collect physical evidence, including blood samples and possible weapon traces.

Man Last Seen With Youth Named Ankit
Family members revealed that Jayraj Man Singh had gone to the field with a young man named Ankit. Later in the evening, Ankit reportedly called the family, claiming that he had lost contact with Jayraj Man Singh.
This raised suspicion, and Ankit has since gone missing. Police have launched a search operation to trace him, as investigators believe he could hold crucial information related to the murder.

Police Statement: Investigation Ongoing
A senior police officer confirmed that Jayraj Man Singh lived near Bullet Chauraha with his family and staff. On Wednesday evening around 4:30 pm, he was taken to his orchard near Maharishi Vidya Mandir. Shortly afterward, the same person informed the family that he could not contact him.
“We are investigating all possible leads. The accused will be identified and arrested soon,” the officer said.
