BJP Slams Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Over Controversial Remark, Accuses Him of Dividing India

New Delhi, January 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after he said that he is “fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.” BJP leaders, including party president JP Nadda and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, have accused Gandhi of working against the interests of the nation and undermining its unity.

Speaking at the inauguration of the new Congress party headquarters, Rahul Gandhi said, “The BJP and the RSS have captured every single institution of the country. We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.

This statement made the BJP hit back quickly with a sharp rejoinder, stating that Gandhi had uncovered the “ugly truth” of Congress and that a senior Congress functionary was more likely to act on behalf of forces that tried to defame and destabilise India.

Rahul Gandhi has disclosed his party’s real intentions. His actions and words, one after another, speak of close proximity with the urban Naxals and those who work against the Indian state. Everything he does or talks abut is for breaking India and dividing our society,” Nadda said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The BJP IT department head Amit Malviya also stated that the comments from Rahul Gandhi resonate with the agenda of external forces like George Soros. Shown a video clip from the Congress leader’s speech, Malviya said, “Rahul Gandhi has now declared an open war against the Indian State itself. This is straight out of George Soros’s playbook.”

The Congress leader’s commitment to the Constitution has been questioned by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. She asked why Gandhi carries a copy of it when his words contradict its principles. “The Leader of Opposition, who took an oath on the Constitution, now says he is fighting the Indian State itself. What message is Congress trying to send?” she asked.

Nadda criticized Gandhi further as he sarcastically “complimented” him for his admission of an affair that everybody in the country had long known. “Now, the Congress’ ugly truth stands exposed as their own leader has revealed their hidden truth,” Nadda added. “Now, Rahul Gandhi has made clear that his political fight is nothing but against the very foundation of our country,”.

The Congress party has not issued an official response to the BJP’s allegations, but Gandhi’s remarks have reignited the ongoing political war of words between the two major parties.

As the controversy unfolds, it highlights the deepening divide in Indian politics, with both sides accusing each other of undermining democratic institutions and values.
