Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash Suicide Case: Plea for Custody
Pawan Subhash has written to high-ranking authorities such as the President of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the custody and protection of his grandson. The whereabouts of the child have been much speculated upon, with Nikita claiming that he is at a boarding school in Faridabad. A relative is reportedly taking care of the child as of now, according to Bengaluru Police Inspector Gyana Deva and Jaunpur Inspector Rajneesh Kumar.
Nikita’s Uncle Denies Knowledge
In the midst of the custody battle, Nikita’s uncle, Sushil Singhania, denied knowing where the child was. Disputing media reports that indicated the child was with him, Sushil said, “I do not even know the child’s name, nor do I have any interest in where he is.”
How Nikita Singhania Was Arrested
Nikita was arrested because of a simple mistake. Following the FIR filed in Bengaluru based on accusations of abating the suicide by Atul, Nikita hid along with her mother and brother. Using only WhatsApp calls to avoid the detection, they committed the blunder of Nikita making a direct call over the phone to a close relative. Rail Vihar PG in Gurugram is where she was located, and Bangalore Police tracked that to result in her arrest. Using Nikita’s mobile phone, the police later tracked down her mother, Nisha, to Prayagraj and arrested her too.
Anticipatory Bail Granted to Nikita’s Uncle
In a recent development, the Allahabad High Court granted anticipatory bail to Nikita’s uncle, Sushil Singhania. The order was issued by Justice Ashutosh Srivastava after hearing arguments from senior advocate Manish Tiwari, who argued that other family members, including Nikita, had already been arrested and that anticipatory bail for Sushil was crucial to avoid potential false accusations.
Ongoing Investigations
As police in Bengaluru continue investigation and unravel the circumstances that had gone into Atul Subhash, the legal battles are heightening. The fate of a child remains uncertain, as is the case with his child where his grandfather is determined enough to bring him home. As time passed, this high-profile case continues to capture public interest, as it is said to be an intricate mixture of legal twists, emotive appeal and a child caught in a crossfire.
