Two young men from Andhra Pradesh lost their lives in a tragic road accident on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road during the early hours of Sunday. The victims were identified as K Bharat Kanth (31), an actor, and his friend G Sai Trilok (31). Both were natives of Nellore and had been travelling through Hyderabad when the fatal accident occurred.
According to police officials from Adibatla Police Station, the two men were travelling on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road between Bongloor and Thukkuguda when their car met with the accident. Bharat Kanth was reportedly behind the wheel at the time.
Investigators said that when the vehicle reached near exit number 12 on the busy expressway, it crashed into a container truck moving ahead. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving both occupants with critical injuries.
Inspector B Ravi Kumar said the two men died on the spot due to the seriousness of their injuries. Preliminary findings suggest that rash or negligent driving may have played a role in the accident, though police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause.
Soon after the crash, patrol teams stationed on the Outer Ring Road reached the spot along with Adibatla police. The bodies were later shifted to the mortuary at Osmania General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination was conducted.
After the formalities were completed, the bodies were handed over to the grieving families. The sudden death of the two young men has left relatives and friends in shock, particularly in their hometown of Nellore, where news of the accident spread quickly.
Police have registered a case and are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The incident once again highlights the dangers of high-speed travel on major highways, especially during late-night or early-morning hours when visibility and driver alertness can become serious concerns.
