Chandigarh, August 18, 2024 — Navya Tuli, a passionate IB (International Baccalaureate) student from Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, successfully organized the “Udaan Ki Daud” sports meet today. This impactful event was designed specifically to empower young girls with special social needs and provide them with a dynamic platform to showcase their talents and enthusiasm.

The sports meet featured enthusiastic participation from children from three childcare institutes located across the tricity: Bal Sadan, Gur Aasra, and Snehalaya. Additionally, generous financial support from Crius Life Sciences, a leader in health and wellness, and Kartikey Fasteners, which donated educational books, was crucial in ensuring the event’s success and supporting the children’s learning journey.

Dr. Rajni, the Director of Crius Life Sciences and the Chief Guest of the event, provided invaluable motivation and healthcare guidance, encouraging the young participants to adopt healthier lifestyles. Her dedication to health and wellness played a significant role in inspiring the children to embrace a healthier way of life.

Ms. Renu Mathur, internationally acclaimed as PADWOMAN and counselor at Bal Sadan, was another standout figure. Her advocacy for menstrual hygiene and empowerment enlightened the girls about essential health practices, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to holistic empowerment.

Mr. Rajeev Tuli, the renowned badminton coach of Chandigarh, provided wholehearted support, lending his mentorship to guide the volunteers and ensure the event’s smooth execution.

The event included a series of sports activities—100m, 200m, hurdle race, 400m relay race, and tug of war. It also provided a meaningful platform for these special children to showcase their abilities, highlighting the event’s focus on inclusiveness and community support.

Special mention goes to Ms. Palika Arora, PCS, Director Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration, whose moral support and encouragement were invaluable. The unwavering support from Strawberry Fields High School guided Navya Tuli in turning her vision into a milestone in community service.
