Matsa Ghazipur’s Sanjay Rai Behind Suvendu Adhikari PA Murder? The Chandigarh News Sources Reveal Big UP Link

The murder case of Chandranath Rath, the close aide and executive assistant of senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, is now witnessing a major Uttar Pradesh connection. Sources linked to The Chandigarh News have revealed that Sanjay Rai, a resident of Matsa village in Ghazipur district, has emerged as a key name during the ongoing investigation into the sensational killing.

According to information accessed by The Chandigarh News, investigators are now closely examining the network operating between Ballia, Ghazipur, and Varanasi after multiple accused from eastern Uttar Pradesh were linked to the case.

The latest development came after the arrest of Naveen Singh, a contractor from Ballia district. During questioning and technical analysis, investigators reportedly found several local connections that brought the focus towards the Ghazipur region, particularly Matsa village and individuals associated with Sanjay Rai.

Sources said the probe team is trying to establish whether the accused were directly involved in planning the attack or helped with logistics, movement, and shelter before and after the murder. Officials are also verifying phone records, local contacts, and financial links connected to the accused.

Another important angle under scrutiny is the silver hatchback car allegedly used during the crime. Sources told The Chandigarh News that the vehicle was reportedly purchased from Ballia shortly before the murder. Investigators believe tracing the ownership chain of the car could expose the full conspiracy behind the killing.

So far, five accused have been arrested in the case, including Naveen Singh from Ballia, Vinay Rai from Varanasi, Rajkumar Singh from Ballia, and two accused from Bihar’s Buxar district. Officials suspect that the murder was not carried out by a single individual but involved a wider interstate network.

Back in Ballia and Ghazipur, the arrests have created panic and shock among locals. Residents of Thamhanpura village claimed Naveen Singh had mostly stayed away from the village in recent months because of his contracting work. In Matsa village, discussions intensified after Sanjay Rai’s name surfaced in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, family members of another youth earlier detained in the investigation claimed he was innocent and later cleared after verification. They alleged that confusion in identity initially led to his detention.

Sources told The Chandigarh News that more questioning, raids, and possible detentions may happen as agencies continue to piece together the full chain behind the murder conspiracy.
