Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the martyrs in a message shared on social media. The CRPF also issued a heartfelt message, recalling how 40 bravehearts made the supreme sacrifice on February 14, 2019. Senior leadership of the force paid solemn tributes and reaffirmed their solidarity with the families of the martyrs. The message reflected both sorrow and pride, underlining that their valour will never be forgotten.
Leaders from across the political spectrum joined in paying homage. Vice-President C. P. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu observed that while much of the world marks February 14 as a day of love, India remembers the greatest love of all — love for the nation. He said the country remains forever indebted to the heroes of Lethpora.
