The investment closes CloudSEK’s Series B2 funding round and takes the company’s total capital raised to nearly $39 million. With this round, CloudSEK’s enterprise valuation has reached close to $200 million, reflecting strong global confidence in its technology and growth prospects.

Connecticut Innovations decided to invest in CloudSEK after the company emerged as a standout performer at the 2025 VentureClash India pitch event. The firm impressed investors with its advanced cyber-threat intelligence platform that helps businesses identify and stop digital risks before they escalate into real attacks.

This funding is significant not just for CloudSEK but for the entire Indian cybersecurity industry. It is the first time a US state government-backed venture fund has invested in an Indian cybersecurity startup, sending a powerful signal about the growing trust in Indian-built security technology.

What Makes This Investment Special?

First-of-its-kind Achievement

CloudSEK plans to use the new capital to expand its presence in the United States. The company currently has a five-member team in the US and aims to increase it to 15 by March, followed by around 20 high-end cybersecurity professionals within the next 12 to 18 months. These roles will focus on research, threat intelligence, and enterprise security services.

The company already works with 20 clients in the US and has set an ambitious goal of growing that number to 200 customers over the next year as demand for proactive cybersecurity solutions rises.

What is CloudSEK?

Founded in 2015 by Rahul Sasi, a cybersecurity researcher-turned-entrepreneur, CloudSEK began as a research-driven initiative and later evolved into a global cyber threat intelligence platform. Today, it serves more than 300 enterprises across banking, healthcare, technology, and government sectors.

Why Investors Are Backing CloudSEK

CloudSEK’s technology allows organizations to monitor data leaks, phishing attacks, brand impersonation, dark web activity, and malware threats in real time. By predicting and detecting threats early, the company helps enterprises reduce financial losses and protect their digital reputation.

Connecticut Innovations said CloudSEK stood out among hundreds of startups for its real-world impact and scalable cybersecurity solutions. The fund also expressed its intention to support CloudSEK as it builds its US hub and expands operations in North America.

At present, CloudSEK employs around 250 people globally and plans to grow to 300 by March, including a 200-member team based in India. The company continues to invest heavily in research and innovation to stay ahead of emerging cyber risks.

CloudSEK’s latest funding round not only strengthens its global ambitions but also highlights how Indian cybersecurity companies are now being recognized and supported on the international stage.
