New Delhi | Aug 21, 2025 — Panic once again gripped parts of the national capital on Thursday morning when at least six schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email. This is the third such incident in the last four days.
According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials, the threats were received between 6:35 am and 7:48 am, following which immediate emergency action was launched. Police, along with fire personnel and bomb disposal squads, rushed to the schools to ensure safety and conduct a detailed search.
Schools Targeted in the Latest Bomb Threat
The six institutions that received the threats include:
- Andhra School, Prasad Nagar
- BGS International School
- Rao Man Singh School
- Convent School
- Max Fort School
- Indraprastha International School, Dwarka
Authorities confirmed that all necessary checks were carried out at the premises. So far, no suspicious items have been found.
Third Bomb Threat Incident in a Week
This latest episode follows a disturbing pattern witnessed in the capital city this week.
- On Monday, at least 32 schools across Delhi reported similar e-mail threats, all of which were later dismissed as hoaxes.
- On Wednesday, nearly 50 schools were targeted, once again through threatening e-mails, creating chaos among students, parents, and school authorities.
Today’s scare marks the third wave of bomb threats in just four days, raising concerns over the safety of students and the misuse of digital platforms for spreading fear.
Police investigation underway
Senior police officials have confirmed that cyber teams are investigating the source of the emails. Initial reports suggest that these repeated threats are hoax messages, but investigators are taking the matter seriously to trace the culprits.
