BMW crashes Scooter: A tragic road accident in Noida’s Sector 30 claimed the life of a 5-year-old girl named Ayaat, while leaving two others, Gul Mohammad and Raja, critically injured. The incident occurred late Saturday night outside the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (PGI) in Sector 30, when a speeding BMW car collided with the scooter carrying the victims.

The Accident Details

According to the police, the girl had just exited the hospital along with her father and uncle when the luxury car rammed into their scooter at high speed. Ayaat, who was receiving treatment at PGI, succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while the other two victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care.

Accused Arrested

The Noida police quickly took action and arrested the driver and passenger of the BMW. The accused have been identified as Yash Sharma (22), a resident of Sector 37, and Abhishek Rawat (22), from Sector 70. They were booked under charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence at the Sector 20 Police Station.

Assistant Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Singh revealed during a press briefing that the accused were returning from a birthday party at the time of the accident. Their medical tests are underway to determine whether they were driving under the influence of alcohol.

Car Owner and Seizure

The luxury BMW involved in the accident is registered under the name of Gagan, who had lent the vehicle to Yash Sharma a week ago. The car, bearing a Haryana registration number, has been impounded for further forensic and mechanical examination.

Community Shock and Police Vigilance

The incident has sparked outrage among residents of Noida Sector 30 and Sector 20, who have demanded strict action against rash driving. Police officials have assured that the investigation is being conducted on priority and that justice will be served.

Legal Action

The accused face serious charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including rash driving and culpable homicide due to negligence. If found guilty of drunk driving, additional sections under the Motor Vehicles Act may be applied.
