The accused youth, said to be married, appears in multiple videos with a woman who is also a resident of the same city. As per reports, the woman had been living separately from her husband, adding another layer of complexity to the unfolding scandal. Shockingly, the accused’s marital life had already been under strain for the past four years, with previous complaints reportedly ignored due to political pressure.

In a formal complaint lodged at Kotwali police station, the accused’s wife made disturbing allegations of both physical and psychological abuse. According to her, the husband not only assaulted her but also showed her explicit videos of himself with another woman to mentally torment her. “You can’t harm me. My mother is a powerful BJP leader,” he allegedly told her, using his political backing as a shield.

The wife further claimed that since their marriage on 30 November 2021 at BM Garden in Mainpuri, she had faced consistent domestic abuse. She cited instances of being locked in rooms, denied food, forced to sleep on the floor, and insulted over dowry-related issues. She accused her in-laws of complicity, alleging that every member of the household contributed to her suffering.

Meanwhile, the woman seen in the viral videos has also approached the cybercrime unit, demanding an investigation into how the private content was leaked. She emphasized that the videos were shared without her consent, pointing to a possible case of digital exploitation. The police have confirmed that both complaints are currently under investigation.

While the incident has caused turmoil in political circles, BJP’s local and women’s wing leaders have maintained a conspicuous silence. Opposition parties including Samajwadi Party, BSP, and Congress have seized the opportunity to slam the ruling party over its silence and double standards on women’s safety and moral values.
