Panchkula suicide Case: In a deeply disturbing incident, seven members of a family from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, were found dead inside a parked car in Haryana’s Panchkula during the intervening night of May 26 and 27. The vehicle was discovered outside a residence in Sector 27, with all doors locked from the inside, pointing toward an apparent mass suicide. The victims included 42-year-old Praveen Mittal, along with his parents, wife, two daughters, and a son.

According to the Panchkula police, the family is believed to have consumed poison, leading to their tragic deaths. A handwritten note was found inside the car, which is suspected to have been written by one of the family members. While the contents of the note have not been made public, investigators suggest financial distress might have pushed the family toward this extreme step.
Senior police officials, including Panchkula DCP Himadri Kaushik and DCP Amit Dahiya, reached the scene soon after receiving information. A forensic team was also deployed to meticulously examine the vehicle and the surroundings for any potential clues. The car remains a central piece of evidence in the case, and investigators are analyzing every aspect to rule out any other possibility.
The bodies were shifted to the mortuary at Civil Hospital in Sector 6, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Police are being cautious in their approach and have stated that while suicide is the most likely cause, a detailed investigation is ongoing to confirm all facts and circumstances.
This heartbreaking incident has sent shockwaves through the region, raising concerns over the mental and emotional toll of financial struggles. Authorities are urging the public to seek help in times of crisis and not suffer in silence. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
